Darrell Dorsey

Darrell Dorsey is Manager of Electric Production and Supply for the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities.

Mr. Dorsey has been heavily involved in many recent Missouri River issues, from the re-writing of the Master Manual, to participation in the Plenary Group assisting in planning for the Spring Rise, to lobbying in D.C. on river related issues with contingencies representing the Board of Public Utilities, MoArk, the Kansas Municipal Utilities, Southwestern Power Resources Association and the American Public Power Association. He has participated in countless meeting, workshops and conferences related to Missouri River issues, traveled throughout the basin from Missouri to Montana and developed associations and working relationships with entities throughout the Missouri River basin.

Darrell holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management. He has Professional Engineer status with the State of Kansas. He is a member of the American Public Power Association; Mo-Ark, where he serves on the Mo-Ark Power Committee; member of the Missouri River Plenary Group and the Southwest Power Pool. He serves on the following Boards of Directors: Kansas River Water Assurance District #1, Western Fuels Association, Western Fuels Illinois, and Brushy Creek Coal Company.
