Vicki Richmond

Vicki Richmond is Missouri River Relief’s "West Coast" Coordinator, working with Kansas City and communities further upstream. Missouri River Relief is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with the mission of reconnecting people to the Missouri River through hand-on, on-the-river clean-up and education events. With Missouri River Relief, she coordinates clean-up and educational events, gives community presentations on the Missouri River, supports financial development and worked on the 2006 MegaScout trash survey as a press liaison, boat operator and field surveyor.

She became involved in river clean-ups in the early 90's with her work as a coordinator on Project Blue River Rescue in Kansas City, the largest one day stream clean up in the state.

She was honored by the Conservation Federation of Missouri as "2006 Water Conservationist of the Year," and received recognition from the American Fisheries Society and Bridging the Gap's Environmental Excellence award for individuals.
