Kevin Knepper

Kevin Knepper is General Manager of Big Soo Terminal, a barge truck and rail terminal at mile 728 on the Missouri River in Sioux City, Iowa. He was born and raised in Sioux City, and has been an active user of the river for nearly his entire life. Kevin has spent numerous hours boating, fishing, skiing and recreating on the river as a teenager through his adult life. He has been with Big Soo for 24 years.

Mr. Knepper currently serves as President of the Missouri River Technical Group, a group of local businessmen, a retired hydrologist, a biologist, local officials, and interested parties. He was very active with the Missouri River Basin Association Master Manual development process and has worked closely with the Iowa representatives to the MRBA for many years.

Over the past 20 years, Kevin has received quite an education on the vast array of issues that confront the Missouri River and all of its interest groups. He has enjoyed working with the States, local governments and stakeholders of the river and he is committed to the process of recovering all species, business and municipal interests and associated issues on the Missouri River.
