Kirk Nelson

I was born in Iowa, raised in Kansas and worked in Nebraska and I have lived within 50 miles and closer to the Missouri River all my life. Dad sold fuel to the tow boat companies, and we often rode with them out of their ports on the Missouri River in Kansas City. Educated at Kansas State (B.S. in Wildlife Biology) and the University of Nebraska (M.S. in Horticulture), I have worked at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission since 1974 in a number of capacities. Currently I serve as the Assistant Director for fisheries, wildlife, law enforcement and environmental review.
